KOJI10, コジ10, Ep.19, (S2,ep.8), May 26, 2025. Cannes and DS2 Q&A (5.26, live)

 Went to Cannes. During the session a long necktie was allowed, however the red carpet required a tuxedo. I was able to watch Robert Pattinson’s new movie called: Die, My Love. It also had an after party that I was able to get tickets for by calling on Robert Pattinson himself. Right now I cannot explain my relationship with to him. 

After a break, I was able to exchange a few kind words with Coraline Fargeat of the movie Substance. Lots of people flowing thru Cannes, coming and going, so I couldn’t meet many people. I heard someone call my name but wasn’t sure at the time. It seems to have been Ishikawa Keika. 

Here were lots of famous people staying there, including staying on yachts that are being used as hotels. It seems most people also ate their meals inside hotels. As most people are discussing films, they don’t tend to eat much, and they’re May have been more dancing events.

Then I went to Denmark, Copenhagen, which was a bit chilly outside. How about we do a Koji 10 in Copenhagen? Ha ha… We can go next year with my buddy during Expo. It would be a good experience.

This time we have 5 tissue packs to give away, however might be difficult to sign on the plastic cover. There were rules about handing out timing, and only one person at a time while another person was resting. Tissues are a good item to give away. People line up to get a pack, take a look at the advertisement the. pop it in their bag, and it’s helpful years later when they need it most. Ha ha… Overseas there aren’t even tissue give always, and some places don’t even have toilet paper ! It’s very helpful! Please check the QR code on the tissue when you have an opportunity.

Well I can’t say much of anything! Ha ha…

Q: Wih the story on the internet, are you concerned people won’t purchase the game?

A: It’s OK. We just keep going! Anyone can take part in game. Discussion, and it’s even some people’s side job. If you don’t want to see something, that you actually saw, then that’s on you and your problem. If you see some of the game, you can still play it. It’s a game. You can still enjoy the numbers and increasing your score. The in game photos are part of a new style of game play, and seeing them is Ok, too. I’m ok with it. Cosplay is a bit of a grey area, as well as manga. This generation seems ok with it, and I’m not he Publisher so I have not much to say about that. The Girl with Needle Buddy of mine watches game play a lot, and doesn’t buy games. The products are still connected.

Q: I haven’t played games but was able to clear Director’s Cut.  I want to continue! How has the game changed while making DS2? 

A: We have a heat map, of where we can gain player feedback, so DS2 should flow better. We do need some risk taking in game. The boot camp event we had feedback, and they said it was easier. DS2 is an Action game. 

Some changes are for example: Sam’s hair and beard. We made a haircut scene, then tried blond, red, but in the end everyone likes gold & silver. There have been a lot of small changes along the way. 

Also Mangellan Man , Dual Shock. Originally the world iwa s a world where a Rocket could not fly. DLC got slower, and finally we produced DS2. 

Furthermore, the end of DS was supposed to show a clip of Sam & Fragile together.

Q: previously, the preppers were interesting. Are you expecting any DLC for DS2?

A: I’m not expecting to make any DLC at the moment. It’s not really popular these days. However we might consider using the hot mode a bit later. We can improve the game as we go.

About the preppers, I scanned as many as possible however, I’m only gonna be able to use about half of them. Sorry!! 

This time a lot of people also landed me their voice. For example (Maddox Soku ?). 

All of the casting is my decision. It takes about 15 minutes to scan these people and ask them what kind of a role they would like to perform.

How about the people who recently went to Kojima productions? No, not those people. That’s a completely different set of people.

An overseas listener asks, I’ve heard that you do motion capture with the crew until late at night. Was it difficult?

A: First of all, we were not allowed to scan during corona. Secondly Los Angeles time was about 10 PM in Japan. And we would work until the job got done. This included scan, movement, and voice. With about 20 cameras, but I still couldn’t See enough details of their performances.It was like a zoom meeting. We Ended up using Sony MADO technology. We could see each other as if we are in the same room. Then we have a meeting. It was difficult and it took a lot of time but we got it done. We had to make other scenes first, etc. this situation would lead us to work through the night and already be at the office in the morning for Japan business time. This lasted until about the end of 2022. 

DJ: I suppose the Hot Springs scenes were also difficult.

A: They were really difficult. We had to work according to the Sony group rules. And other people were also making things so we had to be very careful about what we were doing. I had to call Norman, Norman come closer to the screen so that you can see how I want you to perform or move your hand this way or that way. A: I didn’t realize it was hot spring day. That is a total coincidence. This time there will also be hot spring, and we have levelled up our game. I can’t say much about it, but if you do something then something else will happen.

A: This time we will be in Australia, so there will be Lots of Australian animals in the game. This time there will also be a first aid room and we will be able to stitch up things. You will be able to take and carry.
