Koji 10, コジ10, Ep.15 (S2, Ep.4) Our First LIVE episode!

 Announcer: today we’re doing the program live. So I’ll be prepared for lots of beeps. Our heme today is: What are you doing during this Golden Week? 

Kojima: What happens if I get fired from my own show? I do not accept. Ha ha ha.

Announcer: So you have a new exhibition together with Nicholas in Aoyama, Omotesando. 

Kojima: Yeah, You can come watch two old guys talking on old monitors for about 2 1/2 hours. Ha ha. The monitors are on tape, and digitalized through satellites. So the show is about the use of satellites and how we can put these things together. It’s in a bit of a strange building so that you have to Enter using an elevator. It’s in a nice area so you can do some shopping or coffee shop afterwards.

Kojima: Well, the exhibition is mostly two guys talking. But it’s free and you can come as many times as you like.

9:00 Today I would like to announce a drama that I enjoy. Black Mirror. I’ve become a huge fan of the show. In S7 ep.5,  there is Goa Eulogy. It is fantastic. Even if you don’t watch black mirror, I really recommend you to watch this episode. It’s quite interesting. It’s a show about new technology and how it affects the human race. It’s a bit of a dark sci-fi show. This episode ends on a positive. With this technology.

Announcer: in this episode of character named Philip is able to bring back memories and interact with someone in a photograph.

Kojima:  I like this actor from the movie Holdovers. In eulogy, the show starts with Philip in the garden and he gets a phone call from a company called Eulogy. A lady that he liked has passed away, and he gets an invitation to the funeral. The funeral is to take place in London and he cannot go. Then eulogy says he can attend virtually. A drone arrives with a 3-D helmet. He is to put the helmet on and experience the funeral. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I can’t really remember the face of the people that I had relationships with. He happens to have a photograph of her But her face is blacked out. He cannot remember her face. Eulogy technology goes into the photograph and interacts. I can’t say much more than that. It’s a shocking ending.

14:30 : Today on X I will show a bit of what we do On X with the two of us. My partner Also had something to do with MGS. We went to Spain. We got a message from Chris Barrett and Luke Taylor From black mirrors episode eulogy.

Kojima: huh ?!? Oh no, that’s planned for the next episode.

Kojima : Yes, if I decide something today, I do as much as possible of it Today. Then collect the information for tomorrow. so tomorrow is always full of things to do. They do a lot of media as well as commercials. So it became a Work topic with Chris. We definitely want to meet.

George: Today I’m listening on earphones as my partner is sick and my child has just finished their bath.

21:30 Now let’s start Koji10 ! We are live! Episode 1! 

I used to get a fax and then announce things. I think I like live radio more. Ha ha.

A listener works at a flower shop. And has purchased the premium radio plan. So there is a one minute lag. During this golden week they are going to watch two movies a day.

Kojima: A plus one plan would incorporate another movie after getting home. However, I will be doing lots of work during Golden week. Eventually, you will be able to see if movies are good or bad very quickly.

Announcer: to call you how many movies in a day have you watched.

Kojima: At most, I have watched About five or six Movies in a day. There are all kinds of movies. Within the first 10 minutes, I know if a movie is a good or bad. For books, I can tell If it will be interestingwithin the first 20 to 30 pages.

A second listener spends his golden week and meets up with friends from His days of being a student. They are in their 50s now. They talk about good times they had and get motivation for their future.

Kojima: Wow, that’s great. I’m in my 60s and if I make a meet up, I’m sure nobody will come. Some of them come to Tokyo sometimes. But mostly I’m ignored.

A third Listeners‘s birthday is today. But they are still at work at 10 PM.

Kojima: Happy birthday! 

29:00 A fourth listener spends their golden week singing a lot of karaoke. Mr. Kojima do you sing karaoke? 

Kojima: I used to sing a fair bit of karaoke. Generally, I start with an anime song, and then progress into a UK song, and finally a song from the Japanese band RaRuKu songs Honey as well as Pieces.

A fifth listener hurried home from work in the rain, took a bath and is preparing ingredients to make pasta tomorrow. What kind of pasta do you like?

33:00 Kojima: I like pasta. During my student days I used to eat Genovese pasta. Then I Developed a taste for Japanese Style tarako pasta. I could just live on pasta. There is a movie called grand blue and I ate that oil based pasta in Italy. It was really delicious. I absolutely love, twirling the pasta and preparing to eat it.

34:00 A sixth listener Is waiting for DS2 to come out while reading a book. And going to work.

Kojima: these days I’m on my cell phone searching for a book to read. I’m looking for something easy to read. And I also have one book that I am planning on introducing, however, it’s a bit of a difficult book. Recently, there are a lot of books where I read the first 100 pages or so and then another interesting book comes out. So there’s not much that I can really introduce or recommend. 

37:00 A seventh listener is a father who is making 3D plastic models. Kojima gives an encouraging word to the father’s son who just started high school. Kojima says he has a movie that he needs to watch that also includes a plastic model that he has to make, So he’s not too worried about the father Making 3-D plastic models.
